Mackender has been a collector of American artifacts (bric-a-brac, junk, trash, refuse, odds & ends, chachkas, knickknacks, dust collectors) for over twenty five years. What has not been glued, nailed, screwed or otherwise adhered to something else is festering in the many bins and boxes in his studio awaiting future meddling and manipulation yet unknown.
